Your writing has been so timely and important for me over the last months as I wrestle with the increasing likelihood that I will decide not to be a parent myself. I've already been involved with the kids in my community, but your writing has helped me look for more opportunities and make more offers of care/support to my friends + their children, as well as given me more language to help folks understand how I want to show up for them.

Last weekend I had my first sleepover with my 5 year old neighbor-friend so her parents could go away on an overnight backpacking trip. It was a great experience for all of us. Thank you for helping us grow these critical relationships and skills in our communities. <3

I'm glad you asked. You add SO much to my life--your writing has sparked so many good conversations!--and I'd like to encourage you to keep asking for what you need. I don't have financial support to offer, but I'll keep sharing your work with anyone who'll sit still long enough to listen, because your writing and this community mean a lot to me.

I’m not sure if there’s anyone who knows me who hasn’t heard about this newsletter. I love it, I get so much from it, and I talk about it all the time! I’m glad I get to support you as a paid subscriber and I am sending you so much abundance energy. I want you to have a supremely comfortable and fruitful life, both because I want that for everyone and because I love the work you do. Good luck, or as you often say, bless you!

Evangeline, you are one of the most consistenly engaged Auntie Bulletin readers, and I'm so grateful for it. I'm always so glad to hear from you, like, "oh, here's my buddy Evangeline! I wonder what she has to say today?" And it's always gold. Thank you so much for your ongoing support. It means a ton. Bless you right on back!

I’m so sorry that you are dealing with this, Lisa! What is long-term disability insurance even for if not this??? I just upgraded to paid last month - your writing has truly brought so much to my thinking around community care, and I hope you’re able to keep doing it. Crossing all my fingers and toes for a successful appeal!

I've been there, with insurance. It hits at something deep and destabilizing. Solidarity, friend. Thankful for your work.

Wow, that's sucky of the insurance company but does fall right in line with all of my experiences with medical insurance, unfortunately... proud of you for asking for help! This is certainly a good community for it!

Garrett Bucks from The White Pages amplified your request. I'm about to be an Auntie (1st time grandmother) living in a brand new family compound that we are building so that we can take care of one another (elders taking care of kiddies, adults take care of elders, one of whom currently is advancing with Parkinson's). So I am sure that I can learn a lot from your Substack. And Garret encouraged this as a form of caring. I subscribed.

Thank you so much, Elizabeth! And wow, your new family compound sounds amazing. I wish so many more of us could make something like this happen. I think, especially in families where the people actually more or less like each other, it’s a truly excellent set up. And wow! Congrats on your coming grandchild! That’s so so exciting!
