FYI -- i's not very well known, but there IS actually an Aunties Day! It was founded in 2009 by Melanie Notkin of Savvy Auntie, and is always held on the last Sunday of July. Here's the press release from last year's Aunties Day:
Thanks! You should poke around the Savvy Auntie site; she's done a lot of work in this area, although she doesn't seem to have been very active lately. She did a TED Talk and has been interviewed on several podcasts in the childless/free space. She's also written a couple of relevant books; one is "Savvy Auntie" and another is "Otherhood."
